Fixtures and Results week-ending 20th September

With the season drawing to a close, just two teams played at the weekend. The 1st XI took sweet revenge at home against North East Cheshire. Electing to bat, the visitors were bowed out for 46 in 23.3 over. Rob Jones takingĀ 5-7, and Zohaib 4-11/ Trinity lost 3 wickets in the chase, but completed in an emphatic win in the 14th over, Peter Langton top scoring with 19 not out.

The 2nd XI struggled against a strong Haslington side. Electing to bat, Trinity made 142 for 5 off the 40 overs. Wayne Bradick top scoring with 39. Haslington’s strong openers took on the under-par Trinity bowling, both reaching half centuries, before having the stumps uprooted by young quick, Jamie Herbert. The damage was done, though, and Haslington finished off winning by 8 wickets in the 28th over.
